Michael Carpenter lives and works in Suffolk. He trained in Birmingham, gaining a degree in jewellery design. Following this, Michael gained 7 years experience in all aspects of jewellery manufacture and design, before setting up his own workshop in 1984.

His current range of handmade jewellery reflects his love of silver and 18ct gold. Each piece has a simple, classic elegance that gives Michael's jewellery its enduring appeal. He draws inspiration from African, Celtic and Architectural motifs. He uses contrasts of metal, with silver and 18ct gold, and finishes, with the use of polished and oxidized (blackened) surfaces. Michael's jewellery is available at a select number of outlets throughout the country. He undertakes commissions and has exhibited widely.
